Friday: Late Night Show

The Big Sing Musical Improv Festival features 3 x jam-packed nights of incredible improvised musical theatre and comedy by top local and international groups. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, the elegant Calabria 66 theatre will be home to the festival’s main stage program of unscripted musical storytelling. Then, on Friday and Saturday, catch the late night shows at Barcelona Improv Group.

Everything from the laughs, licks, and lyrics, to the songs, staging, and singalongs is completely improvised and made up on the spot.

  Four actors and a pianist create a contemporary fairytale each night from your suggestion, starting with grounded emotion and heading to absurdity. Along the way, you’ll catch nods to “real” musicals-   a Sondheim moment or a take on Les Mis, for example. Smart, spontaneous, and steeped in musical theater love, this show will change your life (or at least your night)!
