The Big Sing Musical Improv Festival features 3 x jam-packed nights of incredible improvised musical theatre and comedy by top local and international groups. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, the elegant Calabria 66 theatre will be home to the festival’s main stage program of unscripted musical storytelling. Then, on Friday and Saturday, catch the late night shows at Barcelona Improv Group.
Everything from the laughs, licks, and lyrics, to the songs, staging, and singalongs is completely improvised and made up on the spot. Whether you join us for 1 night, or all 3, you'll be tapping your toes all the way home from Barcelona’s biggest improv event!

Join this mixed cast in a showcase performance after a full day of outrageous characters, heroic ballads, alien worlds, and unforgettable stories. Blast off into a universe of improvised sci-fi musicals inspired by space epics and cult comedies. Expect melodrama, comedy, harmonies, and possibly an unreasonable amount of tin foil.
- Time Is Running Out - La Gang (Italy)
In every story there’s a moment that changes everything. “Time Is Running Out” is a journey rushing inevitably toward that moment. We’re going to ask you where to start and a specific event that is going to happen, no matter what. Then we’ll sing our way toward that crucial turning point… and its unavoidable consequences! La Gang is an improv troupe based in Rome. Its members come from different improv schools and philosophies, with experience ranging from 10 to 20 years.
- The Big Improvised Musical - Barcelona Improv Group (Spain)
… is the hottest ticket in town for the opening (and closing) night of this never-before-seen and never-to-be-seen-again musical comedy, complete with show-stopping musical numbers, epic story lines, larger than life characters and a healthy dose of that Broadway sparkle. The audience provides one fabulous suggestion and the players and musician spin them into a brand new all-singing, all-dancing musical journies that will have you dancing in your seats and humming all the way home.
